Helly Hansen – Scandi Sports Kit

You may remember I wrote about Helly Hansen last year and their Cool Kit I talked about their use of bright colours and the way we now look at sports kit to do so much.

After wearing my kit for a year I now had more requirements, I want a sports kit which is multipurpose, that I can interchange easily. Something to take me from a run to Bikram Yoga, from a swim in the sea to walking the dog on the beach, or over the south downs or just popping to the shop.

I’m happy to report that this year Helly Hansen has done it again with a great sports kit which covers my every sporting need. This year they have gone bolder, brighter and upped their performance, durability, Scandinavian design and technical wizardry.

My whole new kit which is compiled of swim bikini, breathable running vests, singlets and shorts performs well under pressure, but most notable of all are the Panerena – Versatile trainers. So light I feel like I’m wearing slippers to run and not forgetting the amazing Kirkwall Rain Coat.

This is a new, modern version of the classic Helly Hansen Fisherman s raincoat. It’s windproof and waterproof and has a great retro design. It’s made of Helox+ fabric which is Scandi for ‘It doesn’t leak’.

It all makes for truly classic retro sports all weather wear. Feeling a slightly retro vibe I took to Southwick’s Shore on possibly the windiest day of the summer and complemented the look with Mr B’s retro green shades…….Next week its leg warmers and SBC! I’m joking!
